When to use: Designing your revenue model, making more money per customer, or diagnosing why your business isn't profitable despite getting customers.
Builds a Money Model — a sequence of offers that makes more money from every customer you already have. Based on Hormozi's core principle: cover the cost of acquiring a customer within 30 days.
"A Money Model is a sequence of offers. At their core, we find every opportunity to solve a customer's problem…and then offer to solve it."
Most businesses lose money getting new customers. A good Money Model gets paid fast enough that you can reinvest and grow.
The 30-day rule:
Cover your cost of getting a customer within 30 days. Any business can get interest-free money for 30 days via credit card. Use it to acquire customers, get paid back, repeat.
Every Money Model combines some or all of these:
| Type | What it does | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Attraction Offers | Turn strangers into customers | Free trial, giveaway, decoy offer, buy X get Y |
| Upsell Offers | Get customers to spend more | Classic upsell, menu upsell, anchor upsell |
| Downsell Offers | Get a yes when they'd say no | Payment plan, trial with penalty, feature downsell |
| Continuity Offers | Keep customers buying | Subscription bonus, continuity discount, waived fee |
Attraction Offer types:

Downsell Offer types:
Continuity Offer types:
A $19/day rental became $100/day through a sequence of offers:
"I paid more money, but it also solved more problems."
My product: [describe it]
Current price: $[X]
How I currently make money: [subscription / one-time / usage]
Current monthly customers: [X]
What problem does my customer have AFTER they buy?: [describe it]
Design my Money Model:
1. What Attraction Offer could I use to lower the barrier to first purchase?
2. What Upsell Offer makes sense immediately after purchase?
3. What Downsell Offer could capture customers who said no to the main offer?
4. What Continuity Offer keeps them paying month after month?
5. Map out the full sequence with estimated pricing for each step
6. Calculate: if X% of customers take each offer, what does revenue per customer become?
"What if you make your customers twice as valuable, get twice as many of them, and get those customers at twice the speed?…your business grows 8x faster." — Alex Hormozi, $100M Money Models
