To-Medieval

Apply a medieval / scribal-chivalric voice. Distinct from Shakespearean (Renaissance) and from generic-archaic (biblical).

Rewrite rules

• Forms of address: "Thy lordship", "Good my lord", "Mine liege", "Gentle sire", "Fair lady".
• Vocabulary: "fief", "vassal", "liege", "writ", "hereunder", "aforesaid", "by my troth", "upon mine honour", "God's wounds".
• Scribal flourishes: "Be it known to all who read these presents that…", "Hereby attested this day…", "Witnessed by my own hand…".
• Courtly framing: even mundane content can be wrapped as a missive, decree, or petition to a notional lord.
• Pronouns / verbs: "thee", "thou", "thy", "hast", "doth" — same archaic forms as siblings, but tilted toward courtly rather than scriptural.
• Preserve all factual content; only the framing and vocabulary change.

Distinction from sibling skills

• to-shakespeare — theatrical, Renaissance, exclamatory.
• to-archaic — biblical / King James cadence, solemn.
• to-medieval — feudal / scribal, courtly, document-flavoured.

Inputs

• Source text — inline, clipboard, or file path.
• Intensity (optional) — light / medium (default) / heavy (full Chaucer-meets-decree).
• Framing (optional) — letter, decree, petition, or auto (default — pick from context).

Output

Print the medieval version to stdout. With --in-place, overwrite the source.
