Agent-orchestrated 5-stage design pipeline (Brief → Explore → Plan → Design → Verify) for AI coding agents. 64 specialized agents, 96 skills, 39 connection integrations (Figma, Refero, Preview, Storybook, Chromatic, Graphify, Linear, Jira, Notion, …), bidirectional Figma write-back, queryable intel store for O(1) design-surface lookups, opt-in SQLite state backbone, and a reflector-driven self-improvement loop. Two MCP servers (`gdd-state` for typed STATE mutators, `gdd-mcp` for 13 read-only project-priming tools), tier-aware agent routing with cost telemetry, defense-in-depth hooks (protected paths, MCP circuit breaker, injection scanner, budget enforcer), and a cross-runtime install layer for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, Gemini, Copilot, and more.
Based on adoption, maintenance, documentation, and repository signals. Not a security audit or endorsement.
This directory contains the specialized agents that pipeline stages spawn to do focused work. Read this file before writing a new agent - it is the complete authoring contract. You do not need to read GSD source code.
Maps static accessibility signals - ARIA usage, keyboard nav, focus states, skip links, semantic markup - to .design/map/a11y.md. Static-only; no live browser audit.
Advisory critic that grades .design/BRIEF.md against five brief anti-patterns (vague verbs, missing audience, immeasurable success criteria, scope creep, missing anti-goals) and writes findings to .design/BRIEF-AUDIT.md. Non-blocking. Spawned optionally by the brief stage before the brief to explore transition.
Given a component name, harvests design-system excerpts from 18 sources (design-corpora.md) and emits raw, source-attributed output to .design/benchmarks/raw/<component>.md. Spawned by /gdd:benchmark.
Reads a raw harvest file from .design/benchmarks/raw/<component>.md and emits a canonical component spec at reference/components/<name>.md using the locked TEMPLATE.md shape. Spawned by /gdd:benchmark after harvesting.
Park a design idea for a future cycle. Writes to .design/backlog/BACKLOG.md.
Queries the intel store to surface token fan-out, component call-graphs, decision traceability, and circular dependency detection. Requires .design/intel/ to exist (run build-intel.cjs first).
Review and selectively apply proposals from .design/reflections/<cycle-slug>.md. Diffs each proposal, prompts user to accept/skip/edit, then writes changes.
Run a design audit by spawning design-auditor, design-integration-checker, and (optionally) design-verifier + design-reflector agents, then printing a consolidated 7-pillar score summary. Use when the user wants to score the current design, retroactively verify a completed cycle, or quickly re-check after a fix. Activates for requests involving scoring an existing design, retroactively reviewing quality, or re-checking after a fix.
Confirm-then-reset the per-(agent, bin, delegate) bandit posterior - backs up .design/telemetry/posterior.json to posterior.json.bak, then clears it to a fresh empty envelope. Mutation companion to read-only bandit-status. Use when the posterior is corrupted/unparseable, after a major agent/skill roster change invalidates accumulated arms, or when you deliberately want to rebootstrap adaptive routing from informed priors.
Executables (bin/) — files in this plugin's bin/directory are added to the Bash tool's PATH while the plugin is enabled.

Get Design Done helps AI coding agents ship UI that belongs in your product.
It turns loose requests like "make this screen better" into a traceable design workflow: brief, explore, plan, design, verify.
Instead of asking an agent to improvise from taste alone, GDD gives it a structured process, local design knowledge, project-specific memory, optional design-tool connections, and verification before the work ships.
AI agents are fast at producing UI. The hard part is making that UI coherent.
Without a design workflow, generated interfaces drift:
GDD adds the missing design discipline around AI coding workflows. It captures the problem, maps the current design system, plans scoped changes, executes them in atomic steps, and verifies the result against the brief, tokens, accessibility, and design-quality rubrics.
Behind the scenes: 64 specialized agents, a queryable intel store, tier-aware model routing, and 39 optional tool connections. What you use day to day is a handful of /gdd:* commands.

Run a lightweight first pass:
/gdd:start
Or run the full design cycle:
/gdd:brief
/gdd:explore
/gdd:plan
/gdd:design
/gdd:verify
For natural-language routing:
/gdd:do improve the checkout page hierarchy, spacing, and empty states
Use GDD when a screen works technically but feels visually inconsistent, unclear, or under-designed.
/gdd:do improve the settings page layout and component hierarchy
Use it when an agent generated UI that looks plausible but does not match your tokens, spacing, states, or components.
/gdd:verify
Run verification before a PR, release, or design handoff.
/gdd:audit
/gdd:darkmode
/gdd:handoff ./my-design.html
