Blog System

When to Use

• User needs a blog page for a site (hub/index architecture)
• User needs individual blog posts written with SEO + AEO
• User is planning a content calendar for a blog
• User asks for a "blog post about X" or "SEO article on Y"

Ask First (mandatory intake)

Before generating anything, batch these questions in ONE ask:

1. What are we building right now?

   • Full blog setup (hub page + first 3-5 posts)
   • Just the hub/index page
   • Just an individual post (topic: ___)
   • Content calendar (X posts over Y weeks)

2. Whose voice? Joey's or client's.

   • If Joey's, which lane (see assets/guides/joey-voice.md): Operator (owner-facing coaching — 2nd person + his operator scars; default for coaching sites like Forward Motion) or Direct-Response (1st-person marketing — for FNS/agency/selling).
   • If client's, do we have their brand voice codifier output? paste or reference it.

3. Site context:

   • Site URL and brand name
   • Primary offer (what does this site sell?)
   • Target reader (who's clicking on organic search?)
   • Existing pillar/priority topics (or should I recommend?)

4. Post-level (if writing a specific post):

   • Primary keyword or search query
   • Post angle (contrarian take / how-to / listicle / case study / opinion)
   • Word count target (default: 1,400-2,000 for pillar; 800-1,200 for supporting)
   • Any competitors ranking for this that we should beat?

If any answer is missing, ask ONCE and wait.

Instructions — Route By Ask

Path A: Full Blog Setup

1. Read assets/guides/blog-architecture.md — decide hub structure, categories, URL pattern
2. Fill assets/templates/00-blog-page-hub.md — the /blog index page
3. Fill assets/templates/01-category-page.md for each category
4. Then execute Path C for each initial post (3-5 posts)

Path B: Hub Page Only

1. Read assets/guides/blog-architecture.md
2. Fill assets/templates/00-blog-page-hub.md
3. Return the hub page spec (headings, meta, layout, hero copy, CTA)

Path C: Individual Post

1. Read assets/guides/seo-doctrine.md — on-page SEO rules
2. Read assets/guides/aeo-doctrine.md — AEO layer (TL;DR, FAQ, schema)
3. Read assets/guides/blog-post-structure.md — structural anatomy
4. Read assets/guides/image-direction.md — image slot rules

6. Fill assets/templates/02-blog-post.md end-to-end

Path D: Content Calendar

1. Read assets/guides/content-calendar-doctrine.md
2. Fill assets/templates/04-content-calendar.md — X posts over Y weeks with topic clusters, primary keywords, angle, and internal-link map

Voice Rules (all paths)

• Banned words (auto-scrub — verbatim doctrine): leverage (verb), synergy, unlock, delve, robust, elevate, elevated, tapestry, seamless, cutting-edge, world-class, next-gen, curated, sophisticated, refined, holistic, game-changer, utilize, empower, "in today's fast-paced world", "journey" (cliché), "dive in", Learn More, Submit, Get Started
• No hedges: just, might, could, may, potentially, kind of, maybe, I think, I feel like
• One CTA per post — end with a single ask that ties to the site's primary offer (Operator voice → Business Diagnostic)
• Hold the chosen voice lane — Operator (2nd person) or Direct-Response (1st person); never generic corporate. See assets/guides/joey-voice.md.

SEO Priority Order

1. Search intent match (does this post answer the query?)
2. On-page structure (H1, H2s, meta title, meta description, URL slug)
3. Keyword usage (primary in H1, meta, first 100 words, and ~1 per 300 words after — no stuffing)
4. Internal linking (2-4 internal links per post, minimum)
5. External citations (1-3 to authoritative sources)
6. Image alt text (descriptive, keyword-supportive not keyword-stuffed)
7. Word count that matches intent (informational: 1,400-2,000; transactional: 800-1,400)
8. Readability (Grade 6-8 target)

AEO Bonus Layer

• TL;DR block up top (2-4 sentences answering the query directly)
• Direct-answer paragraph immediately after H1 (40-60 words, quotable)
• FAQ section at bottom (3-6 Q&A)
• Optional: FAQ schema JSON-LD in the template (skip if user says SEO-only)
• Citation-worthy stat or number in the first 200 words (makes the post quotable by AI engines)

Image Direction (per post)

Every post gets:

• 1 hero image (top, above the fold)
• 2-3 inline images (broken up throughout the body)

For each image slot, return:

• Brief (subject, mood, composition, palette)
• AI generation prompt (paste-ready for Midjourney/DALL-E/Sora/Nano Banana)
• Stock photo direction (3-5 search terms for Unsplash/Pexels + composition filter — "landscape, minimal, no faces" etc.)
• Alt text (SEO-optimized)
• Caption (optional, only if it adds context)

2. Image briefs (post path only)
3. Pre-publish checklist status
4. One-line rationale on angle chosen + primary keyword choice
