Suggest 3D Printables

Identify mechanical parts for the build that the user could print.

Inputs

Project slug → spec.md, bom.json, and the user profile (printer model, bed size, available filaments).

Method

Identify candidates — enclosure for the PCB/breadboard, sensor mount (e.g. for outdoor weather station), battery holder, button caps, cable strain relief, panel-mount adapters for connectors.

For each candidate, decide:

Existing model — search Printables, MakerWorld, Thingiverse for a parametric model matching the parts in the BOM (e.g. "ESP32-WROOM-32 dev board enclosure", "BME280 sensor housing"). When recommending, prefer parametric / OpenSCAD / Fusion sources so the user can adjust dimensions.
Custom design needed — specify required dimensions, mounting hole pattern, wall thickness, infill recommendation, and printable orientation.

Check fit against the user's printer — bed size, max Z height, supported filaments, environmental needs (PETG/ASA for outdoor, PLA acceptable indoors).

Output

Write <projects_dir>/<slug>/printables.md:

Per part: name, purpose, source link or "custom" with full spec, recommended filament, estimated print time, supports needed.

Notes on assembly order — does anything need to be printed before electrical assembly (e.g. mounts the PCB drops into)?

Mention that any external links may be stale and the user should verify before printing.
