National Science Review is China's flagship multidisciplinary scientific journal, published by Oxford University Press on behalf of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It publishes primary research, reviews, and perspectives across the natural sciences — physics, chemistry, materials, life sciences, earth/environmental science, and engineering — with a particular strength in areas where Chinese research leads globally. - Perspectives and Letters are shorter and opinion-forward; they are suitable for rapid framing of emerging results or field developments.
- The journal expects high-quality figures that are publication-ready and accessible; figure legends should be self-sufficient.
- References should include both international foundational works and current Chinese-laboratory contributions where these are genuinely relevant.
