Decksmith

A Claude Code plugin for making reports and slide decks as designed, self-contained HTML pages — with in-browser copy editing (no Claude needed to save) and a built-in present mode with region zoom.

Install

/plugin marketplace add /html-editor-plugin /plugin install decksmith@decksmith

Installing decksmith also pulls in its dependencies: frontend-design (official marketplace) and impeccable.

Use

Ask Claude for a deck ("make me a Q3 review deck from these notes"). Claude scaffolds <name>.html, designs it, and starts a tiny local server in the background. Then:

• Edit: open the printed localhost URL, click any text, type. Save icon (bottom-left) or Cmd/Ctrl+S writes the file; a .bak of the previous version is kept. Restart the editor any time with node serve.mjs <name>.html — no Claude session required.
• Present: open the HTML file anywhere (no server needed), press P. Arrows/space/click navigate. Z+click or double-click magnifies a chart or table; drag pans; Esc backs out. Print-to-PDF gives one slide per page.
