Social Media Engagement via PinchTab

Monitor, read, and respond to comments, DMs, and mentions across social media platforms using PinchTab browser instances with pre-authenticated profiles.

Architecture

Claude generates the response content (the "brain"). PinchTab types and submits it (the "hands"). Each social media account has a named PinchTab profile with a saved login session.

Supported Platforms

YouTube, X (Twitter), Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, Bluesky, and Truth Social. For platform-specific URLs (comments pages, notifications, DMs, etc.), see references/platform-urls.md. Use the browser-automation skill for API syntax.

General Reply Workflow (Any Platform)

This is the universal pattern. Adapt URLs and element names per platform:

1. Open the right profile — create an instance with the platform's named profile.
2. Navigate to the comments/notifications page (see references/platform-urls.md).
3. Extract text to read what people are saying.
4. Generate a response — craft an appropriate reply based on the comment content, brand voice, and context.
5. Snapshot interactive elements to find the reply input.
6. Click the reply button next to the target comment.
7. Re-snapshot (the page changed — new input field appeared).
8. Fill the reply with the generated text.
9. Submit — click the send/reply/post button.
10. Verify — re-snapshot or extract text to confirm the reply posted.

DM Workflow

1. Navigate to the platform's DM/messaging section (see references/platform-urls.md).
2. Search for or select the target user.
3. Snapshot to find the message input.
4. Fill and send.

Important: Always confirm with the user before sending a DM. DMs are more personal and intrusive than comment replies.

Multi-Account Sweep Pattern

When the user says "check all my social media":

1. Identify all relevant profiles (ask the user if unsure).
2. Read phase (parallel): Open up to 3 instances simultaneously, navigate each to its notifications/comments page, extract text, summarize.
3. Present a consolidated report to the user.
4. Reply phase (sequential): Ask which comments/mentions they want to respond to, then open one at a time to post replies.

Response Guidelines

When generating replies on behalf of the user:

• Match the platform's tone (casual on X, slightly more polished on YouTube, visual-centric on Instagram).
• Keep replies concise — social media replies should be brief and conversational.
• Never post anything controversial, negative, or off-brand without explicit user approval.
• Always show the user the proposed reply before posting unless they've given blanket approval for a batch.
• For batch operations, show all proposed replies in a summary and get one approval before posting all.

Rate Limiting & Safety

• Space out actions by 2-3 seconds between interactions to avoid triggering platform rate limits or bot detection.
• If a CAPTCHA or verification screen appears (detected in snapshot), stop and alert the user.
• Never attempt to bypass bot detection or CAPTCHA systems.
