Label Disc

Generate a printable label/insert for one disc: number, volume label, burn date, total size, file count, and top-level directory list.

When to use

After a batch is planned (or burned), to produce labels for sleeves or jewel cases.

Useful as part of a complete archival run.

Inputs to gather

Disc number (to locate $WORKSPACE/batches/disc-NN/filelist.txt).

Output format — markdown (default) or pdf (via typst-document-generator plugin if installed).

Volume label — default same as ISO build (ARCHIVE-YYYYMMDD-NN).

Procedure

Read filelist.txt. Compute total size, file count, and the set of top-level directory names (relative to source root).

Compose label content:

Title: <volume label>
Disc N of M, burn date, media type.
Total size, file count.
Top-level entries (truncate to top 15, append … (+K more)).
Verification footer: ISO sha256 short hash if available.

Render:

If typst-document-generator plugin is available, hand off the structured content for a clean A6/CD-sleeve PDF.
Otherwise write $WORKSPACE/labels/disc-NN.md as a tidy markdown sheet ready to print.

Print the output path.

Output / side effects

$WORKSPACE/labels/disc-NN.md or disc-NN.pdf.

Safety / constraints

Read-only over the workspace; no source modification.
