Cavalry is for motion that scales. Data-driven, template-driven, system-driven animation.

When to Use Cavalry

Animated infographics and data visualization
Templated social content (many variations from one design)
Motion graphics that update with live or variable data
Complex timeline animation beyond Rive's scope

Animation Standards

Define the data structure before animating
Build templates that non-animators can update
Export format depends on destination:
- Social: MP4 H.264, correct platform dimensions
- Web: WebM or optimized GIF (if small)
- Broadcast: ProRes or DNxHD

Motion Principles (Brand-consistent)

Motion reflects brand personality — confident, direct, not playful
No gratuitous animation. Every move has a reason.
Timing: decisive. Not too slow (boring), not too fast (chaotic).
Color: brand tokens only, even in animation
