Todoist Plugin

Manage Todoist tasks, projects, sections, labels, and comments from Claude Code.

Setup

1. Set your Todoist API token as an environment variable:

   export TODOIST_API_TOKEN="your-token-here"
   

   You can find your API token at https://app.todoist.com/app/settings/integrations/developer

2. Install dependencies:

   cd todoist/server && uv sync
   

3. Use with Claude Code:

   claude --plugin-dir ./todoist
   

Usage

Once loaded, use /todoist to interact with your Todoist account:

• /todoist list my tasks for today
• /todoist create a task to review the PR
• /todoist show my projects
• /todoist mark task "Buy groceries" as done

Tools

The plugin exposes MCP tools for:

• Tasks - list, get, create, update, close, reopen, delete
• Projects - list, get, create, update, delete
• Sections - list, get, create, update, delete
• Labels - list, get, create, update, delete
• Comments - list, get, create, update, delete
