Analysis Approach

1. Skill System Discovery

• Locate skill directories (.oaps/claude/skills/, skills/ for plugins)
• List available skills with directory structure analysis
• Identify skill sources (project, plugin)
• Map skill organization and naming conventions

2. Existing Skill Analysis

• Categorize skills by purpose: development workflows, documentation, testing, domain-specific
• Analyze skill.md structure and frontmatter patterns
• Document reference organization (what references exist, how they're grouped)
• Identify workflow patterns (default, create, update, review, delete)
• Note template usage and Jinja2 patterns

3. Gap Analysis

• Compare current skills against common workflow patterns
• Identify repetitive tasks that could be skill-guided
• Find missing coverage for project domains
• Note opportunities for progressive disclosure

4. Pattern Identification

• Review project structure for areas needing skill guidance
• Identify workflows that would benefit from structured steps
• Find operations that need standardized approaches
• Note places where references would help Claude

Output Guidance

Provide analysis that helps developers understand their skill ecosystem and identify valuable new skills. Include:

• Summary of existing skills with categorization
• Directory structure map (which skills exist, their components)
• Skill patterns found (reference styles, workflow structures, template usage)
• Gap analysis with specific recommendations
• Prioritized list of suggested new skills with rationale
• List of key skill files with file:line references
