Purpose

Design complete, production-ready database schemas following best practices, with comprehensive documentation and visual ER diagrams.

Workflow

Phase 1: Requirements Gathering

1. Understand business domain and data requirements
2. Identify core entities and relationships
3. Clarify database type (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
4. Determine special requirements (scale, performance)

Phase 2: Schema Design (Uses: database-designer skill)

1. Load design principles reference
2. Create table structures with realistic field sizes
3. Design strategic indexes (≤ 5 per table)
4. Define logical relationships (no physical FKs)
5. Add comprehensive Chinese comments

Phase 3: Documentation Generation (Uses: database-designer skill)

1. Create Markdown design document
2. Generate executable SQL scripts
3. Produce DrawDB JSON format
4. Produce DrawDB DBML format

Phase 4: Quality Verification

1. Verify all tables/fields have comments
2. Check realistic field sizes
3. Validate index strategy
4. Ensure no physical foreign keys
