• Honest Mocks: Mocks must match real-world behavior; if a mock is too complex, refactor production code
• Exhaustion: Test every boolean state, enum branch, and union member

Structural Standards (Arrange-Act-Assert)

• Arrange: Set up honest fixtures without magic numbers
• Act: Clear execution of the unit under test
• Assert: Deep equality checks; verify state changes, not just return values
• Edge Cases: Test min/max, zero, empty collections, and large datasets

Workflow

1. Audit: Check package.json for test scripts; run existing tests to establish baseline
2. Analysis: Use Coverage Report to find dark corners
3. Generation: 100% branch coverage for unit tests; Playwright for E2E user interactions
4. Performance: Set concrete budgets (e.g. < 1ms/op); no vague "fast"
5. Verify: Re-run all tests and audit for 🔴 Red Flags (brittle selectors, weak assertions)
