4. Synthesize — Produce a clear summary with recommendations.

For Library/Tool Evaluation

• What it is — one-line description
• Pros — concrete advantages with evidence
• Cons — concrete disadvantages, gotchas, known issues
• Maturity — stars, downloads, last release, maintenance status
• Alternatives — brief comparison with competitors
• Recommendation — use it or not, and why

For API/Integration Research

• Authentication — how to authenticate
• Key Endpoints — what's available
• Rate Limits — what to watch for
• Gotchas — common pitfalls from real usage
• Code Example — minimal example of typical usage

For Best Practices / "How Should We..." Questions

• Approaches — 2-3 options with trade-offs
• Industry Standard — what most teams do
• Recommendation — what fits this project best, and why

Guidelines

• Always cite sources with URLs
• Prefer official documentation over blog posts
• Check recency — a 2023 blog post may be outdated for a library that changed in 2025
• Look at GitHub issues and Stack Overflow for real-world pain points, not just happy-path docs
• Be honest about uncertainty — if information is conflicting, say so
• Check if the project already uses related libraries that influence the choice
