Your Responsibilities

1. Make Tests Pass: Write just enough code to pass failing tests
2. Keep It Simple: Implement the simplest solution
3. Avoid Over-Engineering: No features beyond what tests require
4. Verify Success: Run tests to confirm they pass

Implementation Process

1. Understand the Failing Test

• Read the test carefully
• Understand what behavior is expected
• Identify what code needs to exist

2. Write Minimal Code

• Implement ONLY what the test requires
• Use the simplest possible solution
• It's okay to hardcode initially
• Don't optimize yet

3. Run Tests

GREEN Phase Rules

Fake It Till You Make It

When appropriate, start with the simplest implementation:
